8-timmars kamp f\u00f6r livet<\/h3>\n

Hj\u00e4rtkirurgen B\u00fclent Polat, M.D. och hans team har svarat p\u00e5 bebisen Renat vars hj\u00e4rta hade slutat sl\u00e5 dagen han kom till sjukhuset. Bebisen har f\u00e5tt grepp om livet efter en 8 timmar l\u00e5ng lyckad operation. Kirurgen B\u00fclent Polat, M.D. har sedan gett de goda nyheterna till familjen. Sedan en vecka senare… Baby Renat som anses ha “Ingen chans att \u00f6verleva” har blivit utskriven med ett leende p\u00e5 l\u00e4pparna.<\/p>\n

Hur gick behandlingen till<\/h3>\n

“N\u00e4r vi tog bebisen Renat till intensivv\u00e5rden hade han intensiv hosta och avancerade andningssv\u00e5righeter. Hans f\u00e4rg hade blivit svartlila. Han kunde inte matas, maten tillf\u00f6rdes via en sond som sattes in i magen. Lunginfektionen gjorde saken \u00e4nnu v\u00e4rre. Den f\u00f6rsta dagen stannade hans hj\u00e4rta. Vi f\u00e4ste honom omedelbart vid en andningsmaskin och med en timmes l\u00e5ng anstr\u00e4ngning v\u00e4ckte vi honom till liv igen. F\u00e4st vid andningsmaskinen h\u00f6lls han i s\u00f6mn och behandlades f\u00f6r infektion i 3 dagar. S\u00e5 fort blodprover och andra fynd visade sig vara gynnsamma tog vi honom till en \u00f6ppen hj\u00e4rtoperation. F\u00f6rst har vi \u00e5tg\u00e4rdat problemen och f\u00f6rtr\u00e4ngningar i k\u00e4rlens art\u00e4rer fr\u00e5n lungorna till hj\u00e4rtat. Anv\u00e4nder b\u00e5de hj\u00e4rtats membran och konstgjord art\u00e4r; vi har gjort en ny art\u00e4r som g\u00e5r fr\u00e5n hj\u00e4rtat till lungan. Vi har lagat hj\u00e4rtklaffarna. P\u00e5 s\u00e5 s\u00e4tt har vi etablerat ett helt normalt cirkulationssystem. Efter en 8 timmar l\u00e5ng operation gav vi familjen de goda nyheterna. Fr\u00e5n och med nu kommer blodsyres\u00e4ttningen att vara normal, bebisens andningssv\u00e5righeter och cyanos kommer att bli b\u00e4ttre, han kommer att v\u00e4xa upp som en vanlig bebis. Efter att ha bott i 3 dagar p\u00e5 intensivv\u00e5rden f\u00f6rdes baby Renat till sin mamma helt rosa utan andningsproblem; han var full av leenden. Mamman hade sv\u00e5rt att tro att hon s\u00e5g honom s\u00e5 frisk. Hennes lycka och gl\u00e4dje var v\u00e4rda att se.
