Prof. M. Temel Yılmaz, MD, Faculty Member of Istanbul University Istanbul Faculty of Medicine and İ.Ü. He is the Director of the Center for Diabetes Research and Applications.
He has over 350 national and international publications and over 20 book authors in the field of Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes. At the same time that Turkey Diabetes Foundation Founder President Prof. Yılmaz GAPDİAB and DOĞUDİAB were the coordinators of national projects such as Diabetes 2020: Strategic Vision and Goals in Diabetes, DAKE (National Diabetes Peer Patient Education Program), Stop Diabetes and Diabetes Parliament. He has directed many international researches especially on Type 1 Diabetes Immunology and Islet Cell Transplantation studies.
