Having graduated from Istanbul University Cerrahpaşa Medical Faculty in 2001, Barış Topçular completed his neurology residency at Istanbul University, Istanbul Faculty of medicine, department of neurology.

Barış Topçular continued his studies in Switzerland Basel University Faculty of medicine neurology clinic and pharma zentrum research center in 2006. He has been working in the department of neurology at Group Florence Nightingale Hospitals since 2011. Barış Topçular also continues to work as a visiting researcher in the department of neurology at harvard university.
