  • Medical Oncology,
  • Radiation Oncology,
  • General Surgery,
  • Interventional Radiology,
  • Pathology,
  • Nuclear Medicine,
  • Medical Genetics.

Our Center sets itself apart through advanced techniques and modern technologies i.e. TrueBeamSTx, Rapid Arc, IMRT, PET-MRI and second generation sequence devices.

Up to date;

  • 000 cancer cases
  • 000 chemotherapy sessions
  • 000 radiotherapy sessions have been managed at the Medical Oncology Center at the Group Florence Nightingale Hospitals.

Multidisciplinary Approach to Our Patients

At our Medical Oncology Center, we have specialized in

  • medical oncology,
  • radiation oncology,
  • advanced oncological imaging,
  • interventional oncology,
  • hepatobiliary surgery,
  • breast surgery,
  • neurosurgery,
  • urological and gynecological oncology,
  • nuclear medicine,
  • radiology,
  • pathology,

Cancer treatments are carried out under the supervision of our scientists who have gained success in the international arena and experienced medical staff led by our esteemed physicians and consultant faculty members.

Personalized Cancer Treatment

Medications appropriate to the genetic characteristics of the person and tumor are selected.

  • The use of medications suitable for genetic change in the cancer cell leads to a high treatment efficiency.
  • Pharmacogenetic tests allow selection of medications appropriate to the genetic structure of individuals and the use of appropriate doses of medications.

Thus, there will be fewer drug side effects. More comfort is offered to the patient.

Genetic tests in cancer have become specified to person (tailor-made). The genetic tests can be used for helping diagnosis, modifying follow-up procedure, predicting prognosis and the selection of the right medicine for the oncological patients. Disorders causing cancer, genetic mutations, gene increase, deletion, translocation and other abnormalities are detected with genetic tests.

At our Diagnostic Center for Genetic Diseases, which is licensed by the Ministry of Health and has received certificates from the United Kingdom National External Quality Assessment Service (UKNEQAS), Munich Ludwig Maximilian University (LMU), all cytogenetic, molecule-cytogenetic, and molecular genetic tests for cancer are performed in diagnosis, treatment and prognosis of cancer.

Personalised / Tailor-made Genetic Tests

  • Hemato-oncological genetic tests: All chromosomal abnormalities, translocations, deletions causing hematological cancer are detected with conventional cytogenetic and cytomolecular methods.
  • Analysis of obvious and unclear mutations can be performed by using a new generation PCR method; direct sequencing.

At our center, we cover majority of genetic panels in screening and diagnosing for

  • Breast cancer,
  • Colorectal cancer,
  • Lung cancer,
  • Prostate cancer, and more.

What is immunotherapy in oncology?

Following the current literature closely, and possessing the essential up-to-date medical technologies, our Center has been in the frontline performing immunotherapy in cancer patients for years.

Immunotherapy is a method of treatment that is used in the treatment of cancer, as an addition to radiotherapy and chemotherapy. This method supports the resistance of the body of the person carrying the cancer cell, increases immunity and tries to destroy cancer cells in this way.

  • Oncolytic treatment

Immunotherapy in oncology is aimed at killing viruses and cancer cells. The goal in this method is to ensure that the immune system in the person’s body makes more precise and effective attacks against cancerous cells.

Thus, it is possible to completely eliminate cancer while preventing the growth and spread of cancerous cells.

In some patients, complete recovery can be achieved thanks to this method of immunotherapy.

Immunotherapy drugs approved by medical institutions of European countries and the United States have been effectively used in our country recently.
