He graduated from ıstanbul university ıstanbul faculty of medicine in 1990. Dr. Yalım yalçın completed his 3-year residency in pediatrics at long ısland college hospital / sunny program in new york, usa, and became a pediatrician. Prof. Yalım yalçın graduated from cornell / colombia universities and affiliated north shore university hospital pediatric cardiology sub-specialty program in new york, usa in 1997 and became a pediatric cardiologist.

He has been working within the group florence nightingale hospitals since 2011. Dr. Yalım yalçın also continues to serve as the head of pediatric cardiology department of ıstanbul bilim university faculty of medicine.
